days

How would you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and dedicate some time to yourself and your health?

Join us on this retreat that is all about practicing yoga in a spectacular location by the sea, enjoying local cuisine and discovering the beauties of southern Croatia!

Apart from crystal clear sea and beaches with fragrant Mediterranean vegetation, Peljesac Peninsula attracts travelers from all over the world with its hills covered in olive groves, vineyards and pine forests. It's also one of the most renowned wine-growing regions of Croatia.

Our yoga retreat takes place in the charming coastal town of Orebic on Peljesac Peninsula, in a quiet location at the edge of the town. Boasting a spectacular position by the sea, the Aminess Bellevue Hotel will enchant you with its classic ruby-red elegance. In 1935, when it was built, Bellevue was one of the most beautiful local palaces. Its traditional-style renovation honoring the maritime history of Orebic has given it a new splendor. You’ll appreciate the heavenly view from its luxurious rooms and easy walking distance to the town. The island of Korcula and its famous Korcula Old Town are just a 15-minute boat ride away, and if you decide to hang around, a beach and a swimming pool are literally at your feet.

The yoga program will be held in English by Kristina Lenard and Gorana Bajcetic, co-founders of Green Yogi Traveler that prepared a rich program of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga for you to unwind and dive deep into the peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere.

The retreat is suitable for beginners to advanced students alike.

BOAT TRIP TO BADIJA ISLAND

We simply love Badija Island! Coated gracefully in pine, cypress trees and Mediterranean shrub while surrounded by a peacock colored sea, Badija is the most impressive islet in the Korcula archipelago. Containing family-friendly places to swim, impressive 15th century Renaissance architecture and one of the best views of the whole archipelago, we can easily spend a whole day here exploring, swimming and relaxing. There are even 40 tame deer to keep us company!

We will take a private taxi boat to the island and enjoy in activities that this amazing islet has to offer:

  • Take a swim at the beach on the back of the island facing the Peljesac Peninsula

  • See the deers

  • Cycle or walk around the whole island along the 5 km long path.

  • Explore the newly opened art gallery on the island featuring local art.

  • Hike to the ruins of the 16th-century church of St Catherine on top of the hill for splendid views of the Korčula archipelago.

  • Visit the 15th-century Franciscan monastery’s late Gothic cloisters.

VISITING KORCULA ISLAND AND FAMOUS KORCULA OLD TOWN

Rich in vineyards, olive groves, small villages and a glorious old town, the island of Korcula is the sixth-largest Adriatic island.

A 15-min boat ride will take us from Orebic to medieval Korcula town, a quaint square in the shadow of the bell tower that rises above the red-roofed homes overlooking panoramic views of the Peljesac Peninsula. The palm-lined streets and ancient surrounding walls regularly invite comparisons with nearby Dubrovnik.

Claimed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, tradition is now best exhibited through displays of folk music, dancing, and sword fight displays that fill the central square during the weekly performances.

Things to do in Korcula:

  • Visit the home of Marco Polo

  • Wander the stone laneways of the old town

  • Climb to the top of St Mark's cathedral

  • Take the stairs to St Anthony's hill

  • Take a swim at Banje beach

  • Have lunch in one of the excellent restaurants and

  • Visit the art galleries and

With the altitude of 963 m (3160 ft), the peak of St Elias (“Sveti Ilija”) on Peljesac Peninsula is one of the most fascinating viewpoints in Dalmatia - you can see all the way to Biokovo mountain and the Neretva river mouth, Dubrovnik riviera and the islands of Korcula, Brac, Hvar, Vis, Mljet, and all the way to the Italian coast on a perfectly clear day.

We will choose from 3 different trails leading up to the top, depending on group abilities and wishes. Most probably we will get the chance to see wild horses that inhabit the area!

& more optional trips that will be offered on spot!
