THE ISLAND EXPERIENCE
Lopud is the smallest of the Elaphiti Islands archipelago, easily accessible by boat (1-hour journey from Dubrovnik port). The fact that no cars are allowed means there's no traffic, noise, or pollution. The water is crystal clear and very calm, with no waves or currents.
On Lopud Island, life moves at nature's pace. The day starts slowly, with sun rays painting the horizon and seagulls inviting you to gently wake up. First, just a few early risers welcome the boats bringing fresh provisions to the island. Soon, everyone gathers for coffee along the main promenade, easing into their day. Those who are lucky, as we are, with a schedule that's all about wellness, can receive everything that Lopud and its surroundings have to offer.
YOUR PRACTICE
You will be led by the wonderful Margot Mesnard, yoga teacher who simply radiates energy and joy. Through her combination of energizing vinyasa, soothing yin, playful acroyoga, intuitive and liberating dance, and guided meditations, she invites you to explore, expand, and naturally embrace a sense of freedom. Whether you're new to yoga or have an established practice, Margot offers variations to support your personal journey.
Throughout the retreat, we encourage you to listen to yourself - feel free to join the classes that call to you and take rest or do other things when you need it. This is your journey, and we trust you to follow what feels right for you.

Nestled in a carefully restored old stone villa, we'll find our sanctuary for the week. This is where we'll laugh together, gently flow along the line of balance through yoga, read a book by the pool or just lay in the sun, and discover and savour each day's imaginative delicacies crafted by our private chef. As evening falls, subtle lights illuminate the grounds, creating a magical setting for starlit conversations and restful nights.
Our venue is located on high ground in a quiet area of Lopud old town, near the monastery and the rector's palace. It offers panoramic views of the sea and mountains and is just 2-3 minutes walking distance from the seafront!
Amenities: 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, heated pool, sauna, terrace, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen, dining area.
Yoga will take place outdoors under a shaded patio near the pool, where you'll be surrounded by the sweet and energizing aroma of orange blossoms in May and the gentle song of crickets.

Two amazing included excursions await you during your stay:
VISIT DUBROVNIK OLD TOWN
Step back in time as you wander through the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site of Dubrovnik's Old Town, where ancient limestone streets, medieval fortifications, and baroque churches tell tales of centuries past.
TAKE A BOAT TRIP ELAPHITI ISLANDS ARCHIPELAGO
Embrace the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic on a magical day at sea, where our private boat will whisk you through the stunning Elaphiti archipelago. Dive into secluded coves, snorkel in the mesmerizing Blue Cave of Koločep Island where sunlight dances on azure waters, and swim in hidden bays accessible only by boat.

The remaining days are yours to shape as you please - with plenty of space to rest and explore at your own rhythm or book optional excursions. Minutes from our villa, you can swim at sandy Šunj beach or hidden rocky coves, lounge by the pool with fresh juice in hand, hike the island's scenic trails, or watch the sunset from the ancient fort. For those seeking more active pursuits, kayak and snorkel along pristine shores or explore nearby Koločep and Šipan islands on foot or by bike.
Our private chef crafts an exquisite culinary journey celebrating local Croatian flavors through thoughtfully prepared plant-based dishes. Each meal celebrates Mediterranean traditions, using the finest seasonal ingredients.
Mornings are marked by freshly baked bread aromas wafting through the villa. We start with coffee, tea, fresh juices, fruits and nuts before our yoga practice, followed by a nourishing brunch. Energized and well-fed, we're ready for daily adventures.
As the day winds down, we come together around our terrace table, sharing stories of the day's adventures over starlit dinners that nourish both body and soul

MARGOT
Margot has been practicing yoga for 14 years following a beautiful discovery of outdoor classes in Jamaica's Blue Mountains. Following her path through the islands, she practiced with talented teachers in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and St. Martin, often near the sea or under the full moon.
Eager to learn more about yoga, she completed her 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training on the Caribbean coast in Colombia in 2021, to maintain this spirit of outdoor yoga, connection with nature, and a sunny and joyful approach to yoga. This is what led her to create her own style of yoga, reggae yoga, for zero stress!
With stops in India and Thailand, Margot loves bringing fusion to her classes with explanations of Indian yoga origins and bringing vinyasa creativity into modern transitions between asanas.
Certified in ANIMAL FLOW, Margot has an approach to movement based on body and physical challenge with dynamic yoga to then release mental stress and stored negative emotions. As a certified Animal Flow instructor, she brings a unique dimension of ground-based movement that strengthens the body while enhancing mobility and coordination.
Classes with Margot aim to make you travel, surpass yourself, better know your body and listen to it, and work on your relationship with breath and mind, with kindness, empathy, joy, and community spirit.
Passionate about environmental protection and sustainable living, Margot invites you to join in giving back to the island community during your stay on Lopud Island. You're welcome to participate in our retreat's beach clean-up initiative at beautiful Šunj beach – a meaningful way to connect with this pristine paradise while creating positive impact.

Your hosts from Green Yogi Traveler team are Davor and Gorana, two passionate travel professionals and enthusiasts who love sharing the beauty and soul of their homeland. Having explored these shores since childhood, they take great joy in guiding you to Croatia's hidden treasures. They'll ensure your island experience unfolds with ease, leading you to secret spots and local gems while making sure you feel fully supported throughout your journey.

How many people will be on the retreat?
Our retreats on Lopud Island are intentionally kept intimate with a maximum of 10 participants to ensure personalized attention, maintain a close-knit group dynamic, and create a more meaningful experience for everyone. This small group size allows us to provide individual adjustments during yoga sessions, ensure comfortable dining experiences, and foster genuine connections among participants. It also helps us maintain the peaceful atmosphere of our chosen venue and respect the tranquil nature of Lopud Island.
Are solo travelers safe / welcome?
Absolutely! Solo travelers are more than welcome and make up a significant portion of our retreat participants. Our intimate group setting creates a warm, friendly environment where solo travelers quickly feel at home. The small size of Lopud Island, combined with its safe and peaceful atmosphere, makes it an ideal destination for solo travelers. Many lasting friendships have formed during our retreats, and we often see solo participants sharing meals, exploring the island together, and supporting each other throughout their yoga journey. You'll never feel alone - you're joining a supportive community of like-minded individuals.
Is a shorter or longer stay possible?
Yes, while our retreat is designed as an 8-day/7-night experience, we understand that some participants may have time constraints. Please note that if you need to shorten your stay, the retreat price remains the same as we've carefully curated the program and made arrangements accordingly. If you can't join us for the full duration, please contact us to discuss your specific situation and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Can you arrange an airport transfer? How far is it from the airport?
Yes, airport transfers are included in your retreat package on Day 1 and Day 8. The journey from Dubrovnik Airport to the port takes approximately 30-45 minutes by car. If you need an airport transfer outside of these designated days (for early arrival or extended stay), we can arrange it for an additional fee of 50 Euro per car. Please let us know your travel plans in advance so we can coordinate your transfer accordingly.
Is there a time limit to get to Dubrovnik port for the boat to the island?
Yes, please note that the last boat from Dubrovnik port to Lopud Island departs at 20:00 (8:00 PM). Please consider this when booking your flights to ensure you have enough time to make the last boat connection. If you arrive after the last boat departure, you'll need to stay overnight in Dubrovnik and take the boat the next day. We'll be happy to assist you with accommodation arrangements if needed.
