Summer retreats on magical island of Brac
We spent two exciting weeks (Aug 20-Sept 3 2016) with the lively American yoginis and yogis and their lovely New York teachers Heather and Jamie on two Yoga for Bad People retreats in the town of Bol, situated on the beautiful island of Brač. Yoga sessions were performed at the open-air shala located above the olive groves with the unique view of the Brač coastline and the nearby island of Hvar (Smili's Yoga Camp Kanun).
Bol proved to be an excellent location for highly active NY groups who apart from their two daily sessions of Vinyasa Flow Yoga and mandatory daily beach-time expressed a high appetite for various activites provided there. Among the activities they enjoyed during their stay are windsurfing, hiking, cycling and all-terrain-vehicle rides through the mountain woods.
Excellent healthy meals, well aligned with the overall intent of the retreats were sourced predominantly from local ingredients and cooked by our chef Dunja Gulin.
Groups also took day-trips to the Island of Hvar, which is a tourist mecca per se, and a famous Palmižana beach, located on small island of St. Klement just next to Hvar.
Our american guests left us grateful for all the positive energy they selflesly shared with us. NY yogis proved to be a high-energy group and we hope to host them agan next year!
