Transformational Weekend on Zagreb Mountain, 30 Nov-2 Dec 2018
End of November was the perfect time to schedule a retreat after weeks of autumn rain when memories of summer vacation and relaxation already seemed like a forgotten dream. As winter is approaching, the mountain embracing the capital city Zagreb changes colors and slowly turns into a white beauty ready to cheer up snow lovers and all those who enjoy nature at its best. Simply perfect to get away from the city hustle and busy everyday life, to recharge our batteries, let go of what no longer serves us and enter a new season stronger and refreshed.
Our retreat took place in the charming apartment house Snow Queen close to the mountain top Sljeme surrounded only by forest and fresh air. In the heart of Medvednica Nature Park.
The program was attentively designed by the teachers Ivana M. Crnic & Andrija Bosanac-Schroetter that prepared a great combination of restorative yoga classes and work based on the principles of Systemic constellations.
Our excited yogis started to gather Friday afternoon after work. Complete beginners were welcome. Most people didn't have any prior contact with Systemic constellations, some never tried Yin Yoga either.
The first Yin Flow yoga class took place in the evening, followed by dinner and welcome circle where we all got to meet and share our intention for the weekend. The 2 men among 15 women both said they were here because they were tricked to come:) And because of the sauna. Even if there was some truth in this joke, they quickly changed their mind.
Group energy is a really powerful tool that helped us create an ideal setting and safe environment for sharing, letting go of our fears and beliefs and allowing ourselves a well deserved relaxation. Apart from yoga classes and Circle sharing we practiced Yoga Nidra and had a fun movie night with cookies. The movie we watched was "On yoga: the architecture of peace". Free time was spent walking in the nature, swimming in the pool of nearby Hotel Tomislavov dom and just chilling.
