Cassia Cottage began as a spice trader's private retreat on Phu Quoc, and it still carries that character today — low-rise heritage bungalows alongside a newer garden wing, spread across tropical grounds that run down to a private stretch of Ba Keo Beach. A natural well and stream that shaped the original property are still part of the grounds.
The resort runs on quietly serious sustainability practices — solar water heating, chlorine-free deep-well drinking water, grey water recycled for the gardens, and natural, unscented soaps throughout — alongside seven room categories, two restaurants, a spa, and a beachfront yoga pavilion.

Cassia Cottage has seven room categories across the property, from compact garden cottages to a two-bedroom beach house — plenty of range to allocate a group of any size.
Premium Sea Front
Ocean or partial-ocean view with a sunset-facing balcony, ground-floor terrace and natural wood furnishings.
The Beach House
The most spacious option — two en-suite bedrooms, its own living room, terraces with loungers and access to two swimming pools.
Large Seaview
Original 1999 heritage garden bungalows with an outdoor rain shower and breezy terraces.
Standard Seaview
Gulf of Thailand sunset views, pool access and private sunbeds under a veranda.
Modern Premium
A private courtyard, outdoor rain shower and ground-floor terrace access.
Modern Deluxe

The yoga space
Free daily yoga takes place in the Monsoon Pavilion, right on the beach — sessions run beachfront or in the garden, open to all levels, with private classes available on request. It doubles as the resort's own yoga shala, used for both drop-in sessions and full retreats.

Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc is Vietnam's largest island, set in the Gulf of Thailand — a mix of protected national park, working pepper and pearl farms, and some of the country's clearest water. Cassia Cottage sits a short drive from Duong Dong town, with the island's beaches, waterfalls and cable car all within reach for excursion days.

A relaxed day combining two easy island highlights — Starfish Beach's shallow, calm water dotted with real starfish, and the Phu Quoc Bee Farm's fruit orchards and honey tasting.
Sea kayaking

Hon Thom Cable Car & Ho Quoc Temple
Ride the Hon Thom cable car — one of the longest sea-crossing cable cars in the world — across to Hon Thom Island, paired with a visit to Ho Quoc Temple.

Two places to eat and drink, right on site
The Spice House serves Mediterranean-inspired beachfront dining and cocktails, and The Malabar is a sea-view bar for drinks, games and snacks overlooking Ba Keo Beach. We also like to take the group out to try local restaurants during the retreat, so meals aren't limited to the resort alone.
